A Place of Help and Hope
One of the most alarming trends we see is the growing number of women, children, and working poor who are struggling to make ends meet. As these needs continue to increase, Union Gospel Mission responds with compassion and care, meeting both physical and spiritual needs in the name of Jesus.
Twice each week, women and children are welcomed to receive showers, free clothing, shoes, and essential supplies in a safe and caring environment. During each Clothes Closet gathering, guests are invited to hear a gospel-centered message in a Bible study and join in worship through song. A light snack and beverages are also provided, creating space for fellowship, encouragement, and reflection on God’s love and hope. Once a week, a dedicated volunteer blesses women by washing, cutting, and styling their hair, using that time to minister to the ladies through conversation, and genuine compassion.
