The supreme and final authority is the Holy Scriptures in all matters of doctrine and practice (2 Tim. 3:16) as well as the subordinate relevance of the historic creeds and confessions of the church (2 Thes. 2:15).
God eternally exists as three persons, Father, Son, and Spirit, each person being the fullness of the godhead yet the essence undivided (Deu. 6:4; Matt. 3:16-17). We affirm the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed of 381 A.D.
Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, fully God and truly man (John 1:14; Col. 2:9). He is coexistent and coeternal with the Father, was born of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, descended to the dead, was resurrected, and has ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of the Father. He will return to judge the living and the dead. We affirm and teach the Apostles’ Creed and the Chalcedonian definition of 451 A.D.
The universal sinfulness of mankind and their alienation from God because of sin (Rom. 5:12ff).
Salvation is entirely by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8-9). We affirm and teach the doctrines of grace as they have been articulated in the confessions of the 16th & 17th Centuries (Westminster Confession of Faith, Savoy Declaration, 2nd London Confession of Faith, Irish 39 Articles, 3 Forms of Unity, 2nd Helvetic Confession).
