Mission Statement

We aim to MEET people’s practical needs, TRAIN biblically, and SEND transformed lives back into society and the local church, prepared for life.

Statement of Faith

God (Trinity): We believe in the one true and living God (John 17:3), eternally existing in perfect unity as three equally and fully divine Persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

God (Father): We believe God the Father created heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, in six literal days for His glory according to His own will (Exodus 20:11; Genesis 1:1-31; Ephesians 3:9; Revelation 4:11), through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 1:3; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:2). He exercises complete sovereignty over all creation, providence, and redemption (Ps 103:19; Rom 11:36), and He has decreed for His own glory all things that come to pass (Ephesians 1:11).

God (Son): We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14; Matt 1:23, 25), who is fully God and fully man (John 14:8-9), sinless in His life, teachings, and miracles, through His shed blood ransomed for himself a people made up of all those who place their faith in Him (Matt 1:21, Matt 20:28, John 6:44, John 17:9). We believe in His death, burial, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into Heaven (1 Cor 15:3-5), His perpetual intercession for His people, and His personal visible return to the world according to His promise. We believe there is one God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal, but positionally distinct.

God (Holy Spirit): We believe that the Holy Spirit, is coequal and consubstantial with the Father and the Son (Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:3-4; 28:25-26; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Jeremiah 31:31-34). He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8) and glorifies Christ (John 16:14). He draws the unredeemed to repentance and faith, and at salvation imparts new spiritual life to the believer (Titus 3:5), regenerating (Ezekiel 36:25-27) them to and uniting them with Christ and His Church (1 Corinthians 6:15). The Holy Spirit sanctifies (Romans 15:16), seals (Ephesians 1:13), fills (Ephesians 5:18), guides (Romans 8:9-17), instructs (John 16:13), comforts (Acts 9:31), equips (Ephesians 6:17-18), empowers (Acts 1:8), permanently indwells at salvation (John 14:17; 1 Corinthians 3:16), and bestows spiritual gifts to the believer for Christ-like living and service. (Romans 12:4-8, 1 Corinthians 12: 4-13, 19; Galatians 5:25).

Scripture: We believe the Bible, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority for determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, the Bible is inspired, infallible, and inerrant. (Psalm 119:97-104; Psalm 119:160; Matthew 5:18; John 5:46-47; John 10:35; 2 Timothy 3:16-17) The Bible is the final authority and the standard for faith and practice (Matthew 4:4; Psalm 119); and sufficient for counsel in every issue of life (Psalm 19:7-14; 2 Timothy 3:16).

Mankind: We believe that God directly and immediately created mankind—male and female—in His own image and likeness, free of sin, with a rational nature, intelligence, and moral responsibility to God. God created mankind to glorify Himself and enjoy His fellowship (Genesis 2, Isaiah 43:7). In Adam’s sin of disobedience after being tempted by Satan, but in the sovereign plan of God, man freely chose to disobey God, bringing sin, death, and condemnation to all mankind. All human beings, therefore, are totally depraved by nature and by choice (Psalm 51:5; Ephesians 2:1-3). Mankind is alienated from God without defense or excuse, and subject to God’s righteous wrath, all of mankind is in desperate need of the Savior (Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 3:10-19; Romans 1:18, 32).

Church: We believe that upon placing one’s faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, the believer is baptized into the Body of Christ, the one universal Church, of which Jesus Christ is the Head (1 Corinthians 12:12-13). The Scriptures command believers to gather locally in order to devote themselves to worship, prayer, the teaching of the Word, the equipping of the saints, fellowship, the ordinances of baptism and communion, service to the local body, spiritual gifts, and outreach to the world to make disciples (Ephesians 4:12; Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 14:26; Matthew 28:18-20). Wherever God’s people meet regularly, under the care of qualified elders (Titus 1:5; 1 Timothy 3:1-7), members are to work together in love and unity, intent on stirring one another up to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24-25) with the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ (Ephesians 4:16).

Salvation: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as the substitutionary sacrifice in our place, and that salvation is found in none other than Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10:12-14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 4:12). Salvation is wholly of God by grace on the basis of the redemption of Jesus Christ, the merit of His shed blood, and not on the basis of human merit or works (John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:18-19). Jesus Christ’s death on the cross was the sole and complete payment for sins, fully satisfying God’s righteous wrath, for each person that turns from sin in repentance and places their faith in Christ alone by grace alone (1 John 2:2; Romans 3:25; Hebrews 10:1-18). Before Creation, God chose those who would be saved and granted this unearned grace solely based on His sovereign good pleasure (Ephesians 1:4-11). At salvation each person is made a new creation by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, declared righteous before God, and secured as an adopted child of God forever (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:15). Genuine faith continues in obedience to God and love for Him and others with a life eager to glorify God and persevere to the end (Romans 8:28-30, 1 Thessalonians 4:3, Philippians 1:6; John 10:27-30; 1 John 2:19).

Mission: We are a Mission, an extension of and servant to, the church, sent into the world to a people (3 John 6-7), in obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), the Great Commandment (Mark 12:29-30), and the Great Confession (Matthew 16:15-16). We exist to proclaim the gospel of Jesus, disciple those called to Christ, and send them back into society and a local church, made new and transformed by the gospel, for ongoing service and care (1 Peter 5:1-3). Additionally, we aim to care for the population we serve by providing food, clothes, and shelter to people in need, demonstrating compassion, mercy, and charity, in Jesus’ name (Galatians 2:10, 6:10, Matthew 25:31-46).
