The Mission

Located at 400 Bannon Street, off I-5 and Richards Blvd

The Union Gospel Mission is located at 400 Bannon Street, off I-5 and Richards Blvd, near downtown Sacramento. Built in 1969, this two-building facility is the heart of the mission, and the core of what we do.

The primary building is a two-story facility with a 160-seat worship center, offices, mail-room, a cafeteria with kitchen capable of serving around 8,500 meals monthly, men’s clothing closet, showers and laundry room. The second story is a dormitory that sleeps 84 men, both program men and the homeless that choose for a safe night off the streets.

Grace Haven – Annex

Located a short distance from the main campus

Located a short distance from the main campus, Grace Haven is another important component of the Mission. This building houses Union Gospel Staff and Graduates. This is available to them without cost. Donated to the mission in the 1980s, Grace Haven has given employees of the mission a place to call home. This wonderful facility gives program men who transition to the Union Gospel Staff a chance to get their feet on the ground before moving to a house or apartment of their own.
