Year in Review – Part Two

As another year passes by, we love to emphasize that we have continued to keep Christ at the center of our ministry because we believe Jesus and His Word will always be the answer

Our desire is to give as many people as possible the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the homeless community. It is our joy to see God take someone from the hard life of homelessness and the streets, and reintegrate them into a warm, loving, community of fellow believers. Of course, this cannot be done without a team of qualified, Jesus-loving believers.

We have three staff members in our Rehabilitation Program who are committed and work hard to see individuals transformed by the grace of God from the ravages of sinful living.

We can’t reiterate enough how your donations are an essential part of these men to do this vital work for our community.

The highlight of the year for our recovery team is our Annual Graduation!

We had eight excellent men graduate our Rehabilitation Program: Frank Romero, Theodore Vaden, Carlos Barrera, James Aldrich, Rudolph Willis, Michael Horrell and Ronald Strom (Kirk not in picture). All but one are working!

Friday Morning Prayer Ministry

The Lord refreshes and blesses us with several local pastors who freely give of their time and energy to invest in the lives of the staff and men in recovery with an inspiring message from the Bible every Friday morning. This ministry is a vital role in helping the men reintegrate back into society once they leave the Mission. These pastors and their churches provide ongoing support with welcoming love, care, and continued discipleship. The ministry includes Pastor Lance Lewis, Soaring Oaks Presbyterian Church, Pastor Robert Briggs, Immanuel Baptist Church, Pastor Justin Schroeder, Elk Grove Bible Church, our Director, Pastor Tim Lane, and we welcome our latest addition to the team, Pastor Ben Ito of City Bible Church. We thank God for each of our pastors and their church ministries. If your church would like to get further involved, please contact us to schedule an appointment to visit.
