Daily at the Union Gospel Mission, we meet various kinds of people; some come often, and some never come again. We strive to make each conversation sprinkled with salt, an arrow towards the cross, so they know what direction to turn when their heart and mind are willing. We were so blessed to see our old friend Linda Mae return after a long absence. She came into our newly remodeled Women’s Clothing Closet today, seeking fresh clothing and a friendly face. We gave her both. Her heart was moved during the bible study time, and she was filled with joy. When coming upon a newly donated sweatshirt that brightly displayed “Blessed by God,” Linda Mae exclaimed with a grin, “I’m gonna advertise, I’m gonna advertise!” You go, Linda Mae! Go tell the world who blesses you!
