For National Volunteer Week, we would like to extend a big THANK YOU to our volunteers who have generously given their time to assist God’s work at UGM Sacramento!

Chapel and Dinner Volunteers

Your faithfulness and enthusiasm make a meaningful difference here at the Mission. To our church groups that preach the gospel, we deeply appreciate your commitment to sharing God’s word with our vulnerable, hurting guests who need hope. To our dinner servers and helpers, thank you for your hospitality and care which create a welcoming atmosphere for our hungry visitors. Your selfless service embodies Christ’s love in action. We are grateful for each of you!

Women’s Clothes Closet Volunteers

The Women’s Clothes Closet would not be possible without them showing up weekly to serve and spread the Gospel. Your dedication is making a powerful impact in the lives of women and children in need. By prepping the closet, running showers, helping women shop, and caring for our guests’ hearts by sharing the Word of God, you ladies exemplify the love of Christ.

Special Event Dinner Banquet Volunteers

Throughout the year, on various holiday occasions, we treat our guests to a special dinner banquet. These events are run by volunteers who not only decorate the venue but also serve food and beverages to the guests. Not only is it a fun experience, but it also serves as a wonderful opportunity for our supporters to interact with the individuals benefiting from our services.

Our Men’s Barber and Women’s Hair Care Specialist

Thank you to our incredible volunteers, Keith, our skilled barber, and Gretchen, our women’s hair care expert, for their dedication to serving at Union Gospel Mission Sacramento. Their compassion and skills bring comfort and dignity to our guests in need. Keith and Gretchen are not only helping our guests look and feel better about themselves, but they are also engaging in meaningful conversation, sharing Christ’s love in individual ways. Overall, these services go beyond just physical appearance and have a profound effect on the lives of our guests.
Thank you, Keith and Gretchen!
