Men’s 9-Month Rehabilitation Program is Transforming Lives!

The past year has been one of the most challenging years in our memory. The words to the old hymn come to mind:
Great is Thy faithfulness, “O God my Father, there is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be. “Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!” Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided — “Great is Thy faithfulness, “Lord, unto me!
This year the Gospel message has gone forth in counseling sessions and classes in our Chapel where we put into practice the prescribed social distancing requirements.
The classes are focusing on the character and nature of this wonderful God we serve and the living faith of Jesus Christ which is His great gift to us. Men experienced the transforming truth of God’s Holy Word, studied, prayed, and learned to submit to His will by submitting to His Word.
The powerful Gospel of Jesus Christ has continued to be proclaimed! Men have made life-changing decisions as the Holy Spirit revealed the power of the resurrection to them, and in obedient response, they proclaimed Jesus their Lord.
In the challenge of the Covid-19 virus, we had many of the men on our Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program contract the virus, and without fail, God brought everyone through and restored them to health.
Throughout the year we were pressed on every side by the government and news media as our nation suffered the many crises which befell us. We were able to watch the faithfulness of our great God as He met every need and guided the Mission through the storm that was raging around us.
In response to the many tragedies we encountered this past year, Pastor Tim Lane has led us to increase our prayer time together and to draw accordingly in faith “making our requests known to God”, to seek His wisdom and guidance for this Mission. Comfort and encouragement of the Holy Spirit is being enjoyed by all.

Our 2020 Graduates
There is much to praise God for these men! They have worked very hard to change their lives and open their hearts to the Lord. There are many challenges they must overcome, but they are grateful to have the Mission to help them.
Many have reunited with their wives, children, and/or families. All but two have jobs and some have furthered their education. We have several who need to stay with us a little longer and are helping us with our homeless outreach.
Sadly to say, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we were unable to have a formal graduation but hope to have one in 2021! Finding a home church has been challenging with the social distancing requirements, but is a priority that we emphasize for continued discipleship.
